Nissan is debuting a new battery capacity estimator that can help you get a better idea of exactly how much battery life you have left and whether or not you can make it to your destination. There will be both Internet and smartphone versions of this service, so you won’t be left stranded.

This new feature allows you to enter a destination and it will tell you how much battery capacity is needed for you to reach the destination. It calculates this based on certain factors between the two points such as elevation changes, ascending and descending hills, type of road whether highway or side streets, and air conditioner use. This feature will be accessible on a dedicated website for current Nissan Leaf owners. Currently, you are able to access information and locations for charging spots, how much time it will take to go between two points, and driving directions. In answer to current owner’s request, Nissan has added the battery capacity estimator as well.

Estimates for your Nissan Leaf’s battery capacity are made using a high-precision electricity consumption simulator. The capacity is then calculated based on motor specifications. This enables you as the owner, to determine whether you need recharging before you reach your destination. When you use the Internet or smartphone application version of this feature, your search results or estimated remaining battery capacity, are displayed numerically and visually. The results are also displayed in the same fashion you view them inside your Nissan Leaf. By taking into consideration the Leaf’s battery level capacity and energy usage together, you as the driver are better able to make a more accurate plan for your driving route.

All New 2013 Nissan Sentra Coming Soon New Jersey!

If you are a Nissan Sentra lover, you will be happy to hear that Nissan will be releasing an all new redesigned Sentra to it’s customer base. The 2013 Nissan Sentra will be debuting at your local new and used New Jersey Nissan dealer this fall.

The all-new 2013 Nissan Sentra will be 150 pounds lighter than it’s predecessor adding to it’s fuel efficiency giving it 40 miles per gallon on the highway and a combined 34 miles per gallon. The engine under the hood has been replaced with a 1.8-liter, 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. The base model S, is the only model available with a six-speed transmission. Other models offered include S, SV, SL and a then new SR package. For added fuel efficiency, the S and SV models are offered with an optional FE+ trim package. The new SR package will feature five spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty front and rear fascias, a sporty front grille, fog lights, rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust tip.

Other features and options offered on the all new 2013 Nissan Sentra include keyless entry with the push of a button on your door handle and push button start. Your Sentra will start with the push of a button when it senses your Nissan Intelligent Key inside the vehicle. The Nissan Connect with Navigation is also available along with the easy fill tire alert. Nissan’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System will alert you when your tires are not inflated properly and will just as easily let you know when they are filled to the recommended level. Other options include Bose premium audio and hands-free communication with Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant and Bluetooth Hands-free phone system.

Fuel Efficiency Reaches New Highs New Jersey
